All of our classes are 100% acting-based. No singing or dancing. Our focus is on the one-thing we do extremely well, which is acting classes where students are at the centre of the creativity.

We are committed to giving our students as much stage experience as possible. That’s why we create a brand new play from scratch to perform every single term.

All of our plays are written with our students and written especially for them.
No small ensemble roles for anyone. All of our students help create their own roles.

We don’t just perform on stages - we find unique locations and set our plays there and host the performance in that location. It could be a Church, hotel, park… the possibilities are endless!

EveryTHING Starts with The Brief

At The Scene, we don't begin with a finished script, we begin with an idea.

Each term, every class receives The Brief: a creative challenge built around a genre, a location, a word and an object. From that single starting point, our members work together to devise original characters, stories and performances.

No two productions are ever the same.
